This is the most popular Rochefort beer in Belgium. Rochefort 8 was originally brewed in the 1950s for the Christmas season. It was nicknamed the “Spéciale”. It soon joined Rochefort 6 and 10 in Rochefort's full range of beers. The number 8 refers to its wort rating.
